Crazy Creepy trailer for Thai-Korean horror film THE MEDIUM – GeekTyrant
I have a spooky trailer here for a crazy horror thriller from Thailand and South Korea titled The way. The story is based on the supernatural legends of cultures and follows a Southeast Asian shamanism that goes crazy. I’m always up for a crazy horror movie that plays with different and unique themes and sets, and it sounds like the kind of horror movie I would like to watch.
The way follows a “documentary film crew with Nim (Sawanee Utoomma), a Thai shaman, as she travels to her ancestral homeland in the northeastern region of Isan in Thailand. There, the team meets Ming (Narilya Gulmongkolpech), Nim’s niece, who exhibits strange symptoms that seem to suggest that she inherited the gift of the shaman. The team decides to follow Mink, in the hopes of capturing the shamanic lineage that is passed down through the generations, but his bizarre behavior quickly becomes more and more extreme.
The film is directed by a Thai horror filmmaker Banjong Pisanthanakun, best known internationally for his directorial debut in 2004 Shutter. It was produced by Korea Na Hong-jin, who has already developed Lamentations, The yellow sea and The hunter.
The thrill will release The way in North America, UK and Australia / New Zealand on October 14.
