What is Murder Island about?
Murder Island combines crime with drama and fierce competition as a body has been discovered and a murder investigation has been opened …
Eight members of the public divided into teams of two are tasked with solving the murder of Charly Hendricks who was found stabbed to death on the floor of his rented house on a remote island in Scotland.
But, the plot was written by one of Britain’s most famous writers, Ian Rankin, so not everything is as it seems.
Four teams of amateur detectives arrive on Murder Island greeted by senior investigators, and they all proceed to the crime scene, the Manse, where Hendricks’ body was discovered earlier today.
With just one week to resolve the case, the winning team will take home a massive £ 50,000 reward and walk away as Murder Island’s first winner.

Who is the cast of Murder Island?
Eight members of the audience will compete against each other to reveal all the details related to the murder and the identity of the murderer themselves.
André and Nick
First, Andrew and Nick are the overconfident duo, as Andrew’s father and grandfather were both detectives.
He said: “Genetics would suggest it was in my blood.”
Caroline and Chrissie
The next dynamic duo is made up of mature ladies Caroline and Chrissie, and they both rely on being the underdogs.
They make comparisons between themselves and Miss Marple – suggesting they shouldn’t be underestimated.
Richmond and Sarah
Then, Richmond and Sarah seem by far the best-equipped pair.
They are both non-threatening but googly-eyed, Sarah having even studied criminology.
Dot and Rox
Finally, London party girls Dot and Rox might be considered the funniest.
When they arrive, they shout enthusiastically, “Wow, look at the cows! “
Tony, Jean, Hamish and the others are all actors, adding an interesting dynamic to police interviews.
Shifty Alicia works for the developers and is actually the one who found the body. Finally, Freddy, a newcomer from Glasgow, has a suspicious bandage on his wrist.
