A special mystery guest will appear on stage in a blockbuster production coming to the Cambridge Arts Theatre.
West End Comedy The play What I Wroteall about comedy duo Morecambe and Wise, plays at the Cambridge Arts Theater from Monday 21 February to Saturday 26 February.
A key part of this production is a special mystery guest star, who appears at every performance.
A host of famous personalities have already held this role.
The name of the mystery Cambridge guest star is being kept under wraps, so members of the public will be in for a surprise when the curtain goes up next week.
Described by the Guardian as “recklessly, comically tearful”, The play What I Wrote is a touching tribute to the much-loved comedy duo Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise.
The play What I Wrote special guest appearances have been much discussed since the first production in 2001.
The star-studded list of previous mystery guests included Ralph Fiennes, Ewan McGregor, Joanna Lumley, Daniel Radcliffe, Kylie Minogue, Nigel Havers and Tom Hiddleston.
Thom wrote a play, an epic set in the French Revolution called A tight squeeze for the scarlet button.
Dennis, on the other hand, wants to continue their double act.
He believes that if they pay homage to Morecambe and Wise, Thom’s confidence will be restored and the double act will continue.
But first Dennis must persuade a guest star to appear in the play what Thom wrote.

Theater lovers can see a “polar” comedy-thriller Cluedo at the Cambridge Arts Theater from February 14 to February 19.
Based on the hit 1985 movie and classic detective board game, this parody features old EastEnders Favorite Michelle Collins as Miss Scarlett.
The cast also includes Daniel Casey, who is best known for his role as Sgt Troy in Midsomer Murders and more recently Tom Bailey in EastEnders.
